Uploading my Game

Hello, I was recently trying to follow off of an earlier tutorial I found in the back of the Q&A section but I didn’t think it was related to EO 4.0

I would like to know what exactly I have to give my friend for him to download it, I packed the following (he likely didn’t have 4.0)

Nothing seems to be wrong besides the fact he can’t login even though I gave him the IP and Port details (I am a little confused between the Server Window’s IP and the IP inside the Config, I’d like some help with that too)

I would like to know if I’m on the right track, if so please let me know how I can get him in and if not I would like to know what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it, thanks http://i.imgur.com/6h106jH.png

(Don’t know how to edit)  Actually it just seems my friend can’t connect, I tried with my own download link and it worked just fine, do I need the Autoupdater to go with it or some way to keep him updated

If so I’d like a link  😄

what windows server? wait a sec… you’re actually hosting an eclipse game on a windows server?

You shouldn’t use the ip given by the server, use ipchicken.com and use the ip address that tells you.

Did you port forward? If not, there are a bunch of tutorials on doing it.

Oh, so where should I put my IP at, in the server’s Options or the Client’s config

And should I put my port too

The IP should be what he enters or what you enter when you create a ‘new’ server in the client when it loads.

Port forwarding your router is the important part.

You can use this: http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/page/index.html/statuschecker.html

And it will help you determine if what you’re is correct.

Hmm… what ISP do you use? I can guide you through the Port Forwarding if you use Virgin Media.
