Basically what the title says. I noticed when I was messing around with a ranged spell if I targeted a foe I would start walking into melee range even though I set the distance of the spell to be 10 spaces away.
Is there a way to target an enemy without auto-moving to them?
We’d need to see the sub of code that handles casting the ranged spell, and it’d be nice to know what engine you’re using.
The whole mage class is dedicated to range attacks
……that didn’t answer my question in the slightest. My question is how do you stop your character from wanting to walk up and smack something as soon as you target it?
Well, sorry to tell you this, but Eclipse 4.0 + is closed source. Only JC and Kibblez can make changes to the source.
…… I’m not asking for a change. I’m asking if it’s possible with the current engine.
Just throwing this idea out there, I’ve had luck fixing this when I go into the client/data folder then switch click to walk to off. this worked for me and I hope it works for you…
