Really laggy night time?

ok well i clearly hate eclipse’s night time. its extremely laggy… instead of making a fringe layer over everything cant it just make a darker shade of stuff? or is there any way to make this not so laggy…

You can delete the system all together.

but i like night time xD i just want it less lagy

You might be to do this:
Make your tiles all together on 1 tileset
Make a new one with the same tiles, but darker
and where it says If GameTime = TimeNight (or something like that, check ‘If Hours > 24’) you can switch the tiles from all maps and all X and Y to the new tileset.
Switching would lagg a bit, but then it works fine.

Switching wouldn’t lag at all. In fact, I used this system myself.

@ Zultar, Eclipse uses an ancient night time system originally written by Oscar. You can still see it in the old MS backups. Simply put: It’s a poor base to start with. There’s not much you can do to fix it in DD.

Just edit the GFX to totally white. I think that’ll remove the lag.

It would keep drawing a white piece of junk xD
