The beta registration form for the Eclipse Exchange is now available: https://exchange.eclipseorigins.com. Registration will be open until a week before the launch date, and more updates on this project will be posted in this board.
The exchange will be a companion site to these forums that will allow you to share ideas, resources, games, progress updates, tutorials, recruit members, and even browse custom streams. You can think of it as a hybrid between IndieDB, the Unity Asset Store, and some of the existing boards on these forums. I want it to be a place that you can go to support each other as you make games, and so I’ll be custom making these features based on the feedback I receive.
A big part of this will be sharing resource. There are lots of resources available online, but they can be hard to find, which results in many games using the same graphics (RPGMaker graphics?). The exchange will be built to help share custom resources to give developers more options to choose from.
And it’ll be open to everyone, even those outside of Eclipse, using any engine! There are lots of similarities in the types of graphics and other resources, which lends itself well to being inclusive for everyone’s benefit.
